I seem to have spent my entire life weaving.
As a child I made potholders on a frame loom. I did huck weaving (a form of embroidery) in 4-H because it had weaving in the name. I finally forced my way into a weaving class in college. Years later, I learned that my maternal grandmother had been a rug weaver. Perhaps I am her, reincarnated....

My work is produced on a 16-harness Megado Dobby loom, to which I have added a computer interface. This allows me to create intricate and unique patterns. My studio also includes an eight-harness Mighty Wolf loom which I use for small projects and sampling new weave structures.
My recent passion has been shadow weave. Pattern is created by the interweaving of light and dark threads in both the warp and weft. Such a variety of patterns can be achieved from a single threading, and I enjoy creating handwoven evening bags, each with a unique combination of patterns. The milagro series adds an animal token as the closure.
These evening bags are available for purchase.
