A group of us stood on the abandoned Monon in 1987 and imagined a rail trail busy with walkers, joggers and cyclists. Today, the Monon is a terrific community amenity enjoyed routinely by a whole buncha people. (For statisticians and grumpy young men, "a whole buncha" is an actual, verifiable number.)
