Jennifer Shirley
Woodturning
Jennifer Shirley is a primarily self taught woodturner from Indianapolis who has been turning for about 4 years. She uses mostly locally grown hardwoods, that she collects herself, trying to select figured and unusual grains in her pieces.
Each piece is turned then finished on the lathe, then oiled and buffed. Her designs include wine bottle stoppers, small weed pots, platters, hollow vases, and bowls. Jennifer also designs and turns fine writing instruments from a variety of beautifully figured woods.
