My work is about exploring the qualities of fiber, bead and stitch to make something beautiful to look at and to wear. Tube beads are made from painted and/or dyed fabric. These are then embellished with fibers and smaller "typical" beads to create a focal point. I pay special attention to color, rhythm and textural relationships, attempting to make something unusual and visually dramatic.
