Protecting and advocating for voting rights seems an appropriate response to an autocratic theocracy. That theocracy’s soul-crushing policies serve a governing class of corporatists whose primary motivation is accumulating personal wealth at the expense of others while masquerading as Christians.

Our best and most effective defense against that corporatist theocracy is to make it simple and easy for people to vote with more registration opportunities, more early voting, and longer poll hours. Oxnard supports constitutional amendments that guarantee the right to vote, establish ranked-choice voting in all national elections, replace the Electoral College with the national popular vote, and apportion an expanded House of Representatives based on constituent district populations.

Electoral reforms as listed may encourage growth of multiple parties beyond the entrenched two we have now, a change which has the potential to create more responsive and responsible governing.

Conspiracy theories are lies repeated often enough to seem plausible. Pundits and politicians love to repeat them, voters love to believe them.

Fences at border crossing points make sense for crowd management. Beyond that, “big, beautiful” walls are expensive and ineffective vanity trophies.

We are meant to fail. Our system keeps us in our place.

We have spent several decades proving that “trickle down” is a lie.

How soon we forget those who gave so much to help us through the covid pandemic.

A sustainable Bill of Rights: Freedom of Health Care — A healthy population can sustain all other needs. Care for people.

We are plagued with social/political/economic silos and Political Labels.

Petty, incompetent autocrats often lie and do not tolerate being told inconvenient truth.

They no longer try to hide the lies.

Freedom of religion means you choose whether and how you believe, and also that you respect the choices others make.
